Q. I WANT TO KEEP FIT & HEALTHY BUT NOT SURE WHAT EXERCISES TO DO?

A. BECAUSE PILATES CONNECTS THE MIND WITH THE BODY, FITNESS LEVELS IMPROVE THROUGH LEARNING THE CORRECT TECHNIQUE OF EACH EXERCISE, BUILDING STAMINA, FLEXIBILITY AND STRENGTH BY USING THE CORE MUSCLES, AND BECOMING AWARE OF OUR OWN BODY.


Q. WE'RE TOLD THAT A POSITIVE MIND EQUALS POSITIVE HEALTH. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN & HOW DO WE ACHIEVE IT?

A. THROUGH PERSEVERANCE, PATIENCE AND CONCENTRATION WE LEARN TO BELIEVE IN OURSELF, AND THAT WE ALL HAVE GOALS THAT WE CAN REACH, WHICH IN TURN LEADS TO POSITIVE HEALTH.


Q. I JOINED A GYM AND PROMISED MYSELF I WOULD GO, I WASTED A LOT OF MONEY! I KNOW I SHOULD CHANGE MY HABITS, BUT HOW CAN I DO THIS?

A. PILATES CLASSES ARE MOTIVATIONAL; EVERYONE WORKS TO THEIR OWN LEVEL. SOCIAL INTERACTION HELPS TO MOTIVATE AND CREATES A HABIT TO WANT TO ATTEND CLASSES RATHER THAN NOT TO ATTEND SO EVERYONE LOOKS FORWARD TO COMING.


Q. I NEED A NEW CHALLENGE AS I AM IN A RUT, WHAT CAN I DO?

A. PILATES CLASSES ARE TAILORED TO MEET EACH INDIVIDUALS ABILITY, SETTING REALISTIC GOALS.


Q. AS I GET OLDER I WORRY MORE, I NEED TO LEARN TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGING STRESS, CAN YOU HELP?

A. WE ALL NEED A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF STRESS IN OUR LIVES BUT TOO MUCH STRESS CREATES HEALTH PROBLEMS. PILATES HELPS TO STILL THE MIND THROUGH CONCENTRATION AND CONTROL. PILATES CLASSES HAVE A RELAXATION PERIOD AT THE END OF EACH SESSION.


Q. WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE MYSELF FEEL GOOD AGAIN?

A. IF YOU START TO LOOK GOOD YOU THEN FEEL GOOD PILATES WILL HELP YOU TO ACHIEVE THIS.


Q. AS I GROW OLDER MY GREATEST GOAL IS TO REMAIN HEALTHY, WHAT CAN YOU ADVISE?

A. AS WE BECOME OLDER WE NEED TO LOOK AFTER OUR BODIES TO A GREATER EXTENT. JOSEPH PILATES WAS VERY AWARE OF THAT AND HE WAS STILL TEACHING IN HIS 80`s.


Q. MY CONFIDENCE AND SELF ESTEEM IS LOW. HOW DO I TRY TO REBUILD THIS?

A. PILATES IS A GREAT CONFIDENCE BUILDER, AS WE IMPROVE AND SEE RESULTS THIS WILL BUILD CONFIDENCE AND SELF ESTEEM.


Q. WHY ARE SOME CLASSES MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER?

A. SOME VENUES CHARGE MORE TO HIRE THAN OTHERS.
